Wood Wives are described as "beautiful elf maidens, dressed in red, green and blue". They are native to and inhabit in the heart of the old forests and dense groves of Scandinavia and Germany. Matthews wrote, "they appear frequently as gentle spirits of trees and woodland, dressed in leaves, their flowing hair contrasting with their wizened faces."

This was Naya's Post-Halloween Costume from the recently concluded Manika Manila Halloween Meet. At first I was aiming for a sort of "MOTHER EARTH" look but decided to search for different mythological creatures instead.

Making this costume was never easy. Everything she wears were hand-made, from her wig to her smallest details. I spent sleepless nights trying to find a way to have the "organic" feel. Well, I tried.

The most challenging part was the wig. It was my first time to use fibers and wefting was never an easy task. >_>
